Here we are, since one week in India… Initially our trip was meant to be a wedding only visit, but ended up with a 2,5 week holiday…

Here we are, in India. We started in Delhi, only purpose: finding a bus for Jaipur, which was quite a hectic ride (Indian traffic). Main goal of staying in Jaipur (that we also visited 7 years ago) was to find traditional clothing for the wedding of our friends last Saturday. The bazaar in the Old City was the perfect place: kurta and shoes (see picture).

Saturday was than the big day: the wedding of Emilie and Pankaj and I have to say it was truly amazing: colours, flowers, dances, what a wedding. The place was in Samode, which is at about 40k from Jaipur, a maharadja palace that is restored and is an incredible place… What a party …

Since the wedding we moved on by Mumbai (crazy, expensive) to Kerala. We passed a day in Fort Cochin, very quit fisherman village, spend 2 days on the backwaters ( pure tranquillity) and are now three days in Munnar, the tea plantations in the mountains.

Next stops: saturday to Chennai where we will do a quick stop in Pondicherry and then diving in the Andaman Islands in the east of India.

Weather: 36 degrees…
